When using KT200II to read/write Bosch MED17.1.27 ECU, one user reported the error message:
“ERROR SK2 Bench Locked” (see images below).


Cause of the Problem:
This error occurs because the ECU is locked and requires an initial unlock procedure before standard read/write operations can be performed.

To fix this issue, you need to unlock the ECU first. Here’s how:

1.Use PCMflash Tool

1)Connect with P-C-M-flash.

2)Perform a password read operation.

2.Save the Password

1)Write down the password obtained during the first read.

2)This step completes the ECU unlock process.

3.Proceed with KT200II

After unlocking, you can safely read and write the ECU with KT200II or any other supported device.
